B.Sc Perfusion is a cardiac-related branch of science that deals with the study of physiology, pathology, and associated equipment used to support the function of the heart and lungs during medical procedures. It is a three years course having six semesters. The students of perfusion technology must have a thorough understanding of both respiratory and circulatory systems and be able to operate complex equipment.
The students are trained to be perfusion technologists, whose responsibilities include in preparing and operating the heart-lung machine and other sophisticated equipment as directed by healthcare physicians.
